Samay Raina has officially announced the return of his popular digital show India’s Got Latent, marking a comeback after a prolonged break that had left fans speculating about its future.

Raina shared the update in a recently released Youtube comedy special ‘Still Alive’ . The announcement has quickly gained traction among his audience, many of whom had been awaiting clarity on whether the format would return saying

The YouTuber and stand-up comic revealed the comeback while engaging with fans during a live session, where he spoke candidly about the show’s journey and its unexpected pause.

He also indicated that the new season would come with changes, describing it as more experimental and “wilder” than before.

India’s Got Latent stood out as a creator-led, parody-style talent show that flipped the traditional format on its head.  Its appeal lay in its raw, unscripted nature combining stand-up comedy with talent showcases, often blurring the line between performance and satire. This unique positioning helped it build a strong digital following, especially among younger audiences.

The return of India’s Got Latent comes after a turbulent phase in 2025, when the show was taken down from YouTube following a controversy. The backlash was triggered by remarks made in one episode that quickly went viral, drawing widespread criticism, legal attention, and multiple FIRs against those involved. Beyond bringing the show to a halt, the episode also sparked a larger debate around content limits in India’s fast-evolving digital entertainment space.
