Rare Beauty, the beauty brand founded by actor and singer Selena Gomez, has officially entered India through a partnership with Nykaa. The launch brings one of the world’s most talked-about prestige beauty brands to Indian consumers as demand for premium and global beauty products continues to rise.

Under the partnership, Rare Beauty products will be available through Nykaa’s online platforms, app, and select retail stores across the country. The launch expands Nykaa’s portfolio of international beauty brands and strengthens its position in India’s growing premium beauty segment.

Founded in 2020, Rare Beauty has grown into one of the most successful celebrity beauty brands globally. The brand is known for products such as the Soft Pinch Liquid Blush, Positive Light Silky Touch Highlighter, and Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation, which have built a strong following across social media platforms and among Gen Z consumers.

India represents an increasingly important market for global beauty companies. Rising disposable incomes, growing interest in premium cosmetics, and the influence of social media have encouraged international brands to expand their presence in the country.

For Nykaa, the partnership is another step in its strategy of bringing globally recognised beauty labels to Indian shoppers. Over the past few years, the retailer has expanded its portfolio through collaborations with several international brands, helping drive demand for premium skincare, makeup, and fragrance products.

Rare Beauty’s arrival also reflects the growing influence of celebrity-founded beauty brands in the global cosmetics industry. Unlike traditional endorsements, many celebrity-led brands have evolved into standalone businesses with strong consumer communities and direct engagement through digital platforms.
