Logistics and e-commerce enablement platform Shiprocket is preparing to launch its initial public offering (IPO) within the next one to two weeks, targeting a valuation of around Rs 7,000 crore. The public issue is expected to be one of the most closely watched startup listings this year as India’s IPO market regains momentum.

The Gurugram-based company has already secured regulatory approvals and is expected to begin investor roadshows ahead of opening the issue.

Shiprocket’s IPO will include a mix of fresh equity issuance and an offer for sale (OFS), allowing existing investors to partially monetize their holdings while raising fresh capital for future growth.

Shiprocket IPO to test investor appetite for startup listings

Shiprocket’s listing comes at a time when India’s primary market is witnessing renewed activity, with several technology-led companies lining up public offerings. Improved market sentiment and stronger demand for quality IPOs have encouraged startups that had delayed listing plans to move ahead.

The company has evolved from a shipping aggregator into a broader e-commerce enablement platform, offering fulfilment, warehousing, payments and cross-border logistics services to online sellers. This diversified business model is expected to be a key talking point during its investor outreach.

IPO proceeds to support expansion and strengthen business

According to its draft offer documents, Shiprocket plans to use the fresh issue proceeds to invest in platform expansion, strengthen its emerging businesses, repay certain borrowings and meet general corporate requirements.

The company had earlier filed for an IPO worth Rs 2,342.35 crore, comprising a fresh issue of up to Rs 1,100 crore and an OFS worth Rs 1,242.35 crore.

The upcoming listing will be closely tracked by investors as another indicator of the public market’s appetite for venture-backed technology companies. A successful debut could also strengthen confidence for other startups planning to enter the capital markets in the coming months.
