Swiggy has expanded its quick-commerce offerings by introducing doorstep LPG cylinder delivery in partnership with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL). The service, launched via Instamart, marks the first time cooking gas cylinders are being made available through a quick commerce platform in India.
The pilot has gone live in Bengaluru and currently includes 5 kg metal LPG cylinders and HPCL’s newly introduced 10 kg composite cylinder, HP Navya. The companies said the service will be rolled out to additional cities in phases, although no timeline has been announced.
Unlike conventional domestic LPG bookings, customers do not need an existing HP Gas connection to purchase these cylinders. Pricing details have not yet been disclosed.
What Customers Can Order And How The Service Works
The offering is limited to smaller LPG cylinders rather than the standard 14.2 kg domestic cylinders supplied under regular household connections. The 10 kg HP Navya cylinder features a composite design that is lighter than conventional metal cylinders and includes a translucent body to help users monitor the remaining gas level.
Customers in Bengaluru can place orders directly through the Instamart app by selecting the available LPG cylinder option. First-time users can purchase a new cylinder, while repeat customers can order refills through the platform.

The launch adds another essential household product to Instamart’s catalogue, which has gradually expanded beyond groceries to include electronics, home essentials, and other daily-use items.
