Tech Mahindra has appointed Sarah Gideon as Global Head – Corporate Communications & Public Affairs, bringing a communications professional with experience across major technology and digital companies into the IT services major’s global leadership team.
Gideon will lead Tech Mahindra’s corporate communications and public affairs mandate across its global markets. Her remit will cover the company’s corporate narrative, reputation management and engagement with key stakeholder groups.
Gideon joins Tech Mahindra after around six years at Flipkart, where she most recently held the position of Vice President – Corporate Affairs and Head – Corporate Communications & CSR. She joined Flipkart in 2019. During her tenure, her responsibilities included corporate communications and broader corporate affairs.
Before Flipkart, Gideon spent more than a decade at Infosys, where she headed corporate communications. Her career also includes an earlier stint at 20:20 MEDIA and experience with American Express.
Her professional experience spans corporate reputation, leadership communications, stakeholder engagement and communications for large technology organisations.
The new role brings together two closely connected areas—corporate communications and public affairs at a time when technology companies are engaging with a wider set of stakeholders, from employees and investors to policymakers, customers and global business partners.
For Tech Mahindra, Gideon’s mandate will involve strengthening the company’s corporate narrative and reputation across markets, while managing engagement with its key stakeholder groups.
Her appointment also adds to a broader career spanning communications leadership at organisations operating at significant scale. At Infosys and Flipkart, she worked across corporate communication functions within large technology and digital businesses.
