Wipro has secured one of its largest-ever deals, signing an eight-year strategic agreement with Singapore-based Olam Group valued at over $1 billion, alongside the acquisition of its IT and digital services arm, Mindsprint.

As part of the transaction, Wipro will acquire 100% stake in Mindsprint for approximately $375 million, subject to regulatory approvals, with the deal expected to close by mid-2026. The acquisition is bundled with a long-term services contract that includes a committed spend of around $800 million, forming a broader strategic transformation engagement.

Mindsprint, headquartered in Singapore, employs over 3,200 professionals and provides technology, cybersecurity and digital transformation services across sectors such as agribusiness, manufacturing and retail. The company has been a key driver of Olam’s digital capabilities and brings domain-led expertise along with proprietary platforms to Wipro’s portfolio.

The partnership will see Wipro deliver end-to-end transformation services across Olam’s “farm-to-fork” value chain, spanning areas such as supply chain, forecasting, trading and customer engagement. The engagement will be driven by a consulting-led and AI-powered approach, leveraging Wipro’s capabilities as well as its proprietary platforms to enhance operational efficiency and long-term growth.

The deal strengthens Wipro’s presence in the food and agribusiness sector while enhancing its consulting, platform and industry-specific offerings. Analysts view the acquisition as a move that improves revenue visibility and deepens client relationships by integrating domain expertise with large-scale transformation capabilities.

According to the media reports, the announcement also had an immediate impact on the markets, with Wipro’s shares rising by around 3% following the news, reflecting positive investor sentiment around the scale and long-term value of the deal.
