Quick commerce platform Zepto has partnered with Revant Himatsingka, widely known as Food Pharmer, to introduce lab-tested transparency features for products under his brand Only What’s Needed.
As part of the collaboration, users browsing or adding these products on the Zepto app will now be able to access batch-wise lab reports alongside standard product labels, marking a significant shift in how food and supplement information is presented on quick commerce platforms.
The feature is embedded directly into the purchase journey. Once a user adds an Only What’s Needed product to their cart, they can view both ingredient-level label details and verified lab reports, making quality checks more accessible at the point of decision-making.
This builds on Food Pharmer’s broader mission of encouraging consumers to read labels and question ingredient claims in packaged foods. His brand, Only What’s Needed, has positioned itself around minimal ingredients and high transparency, often sharing testing processes and product breakdowns publicly.
The development was shared by Zepto’s leadership on LinkedIn, positioning the initiative as a step toward building deeper consumer trust in a category often criticised for lack of clarity and misleading claims.
