X has introduced a new automatic post translation feature powered by Grok, marking a step in its push to improve global accessibility and user engagement. The feature allows users to view posts in their preferred language automatically, reducing language barriers across the platform.

On Tuesday, X’s head of product, Nikita Bier, announced that automatic translation is now available worldwide. Users can tap the gear icon under a translated post to disable automatic translation for a specific language.

As per the platform, the rollout is part of X’s broader strategy to integrate artificial intelligence more deeply into its ecosystem. Grok, developed by xAI, replaces earlier translation systems and delivers more context aware translations directly within the feed, allowing users to view translated text instantly without manual intervention.

The feature supports a wide range of global and regional languages including English, Hindi, Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, making conversations more inclusive and accessible. It is also designed to improve through real time feedback and usage patterns, enabling better understanding of nuances, slang and conversational tone.

With this launch, X is positioning itself as a more inclusive global platform where users can engage with content beyond language barriers. The move also reflects a broader shift in social media, where platforms are increasingly using AI to enhance real time communication and personalization.
