Eicher Motors has appointed Vinod Kumar Aggarwal as Executive Vice Chairman of the company with effect from May 21, 2026, subject to shareholder approval. The decision was approved during the company’s board meeting held on May 21, 2026.
As per the regulatory filing, Aggarwal will serve as Executive Vice Chairman in the capacity of Executive Director for a period of three years. The filing also stated that he is not related to any director of the company and is not debarred from holding the office of director by any regulatory authority.
Aggarwal brings over 45 years of industry experience, including more than four decades with the Eicher Group. During his tenure, he has held multiple leadership roles across the organization, including Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Eicher Group between 2005 and 2009 and President of Eicher Trucks and Buses.
He also led VE Commercial Vehicles, Eicher Motors’ joint venture with AB Volvo, for over 16 years. He initially served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and later as CEO and Managing Director before being appointed Non-Executive Chairman of VECV from April 1, 2026.
Aggarwal has been associated with several industry bodies and previously served as President of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers and the Automotive Skills Development Council. He joined the board of Eicher Motors as a Non-Executive Director in April 2019 and was appointed Non Executive Vice Chairman in February 2025.
