Shalimar Paints has unveiled a new digital campaign, “Walls Don’t Lie,” aimed at raising awareness about the often-overlooked issue of wall dampness and the importance of long-term waterproofing. Built around the company’s Zero Damp Series, the campaign seeks to shift consumer perception of waterproofing from a reactive repair measure to a proactive investment in home protection.
The campaign uses cinematic storytelling to demonstrate how hidden moisture can gradually damage walls, reduce paint longevity, and compromise structural integrity. Through relatable scenarios and everyday examples, “Walls Don’t Lie” highlights the warning signs of dampness such as cracks, seepage, and stains that homeowners frequently ignore until the damage becomes severe.
At the centre of the initiative is Shalimar Paints’ Zero Damp Series, a range designed to provide advanced waterproofing and long-term surface protection. The product portfolio incorporates technologies such as PU hybrid technology, crack-bridging capability, fibre-reinforced elastomeric coating technology, and advanced waterproofing solutions.
According to the company, these features are engineered to withstand Indian weather conditions while helping prevent seepage, recurring dampness, and surface deterioration over time.
The campaign unfolds through six digital episodes that take viewers through the complete lifecycle of wall damage and protection. Using visuals of peeling paint, damp patches, and structural cracks, the series explains the science behind moisture penetration and the long-term consequences of neglecting waterproofing. It also addresses the limitations of temporary repair solutions and positions preventive waterproofing as a more sustainable approach to home maintenance.
By simplifying technical concepts through storytelling rather than industry jargon, the campaign aims to make waterproofing easier for homeowners to understand and appreciate.

Commenting on the campaign launch, Kuldip Raina, MD & CEO, Shalimar Paints, said “Today’s consumers evaluate products through their durability and long-term performance. In a climate-sensitive market, dampness and seepage are not isolated concerns but recurring challenges that damage the structural integrity. With ‘Walls Don’t Lie’, our effort was to bring greater consumer attention and simplify the science behind waterproofing in a way that is accessible and relevant to homeowners.”
“The Zero Damp Series has been developed keeping these realities in mind, combining advanced waterproofing technologies with long-term surface protection suited for Indian conditions. As a category, we believe the future of paints will increasingly be shaped not only by aesthetics, but by how effectively products can protect and extend the life of the spaces people invest in.” he added.
