Bakingo’s FY26 Revenue Grows 35% to Rs 406 Cr, Losses Rise To Rs 37 Cr

Online bakery brand Bakingo crossed the Rs 400 crore revenue mark in FY26, even as its losses more than doubled during the year, highlighting the cost pressures that continue to accompany its expansion.

The company’s revenue from operations grew 35% year-on-year to Rs 405.8 crore in the financial year ended March 2026, compared with Rs 300.3 crore in FY25, according to its consolidated financial statements sourced from the Registrar of Companies (RoC).

However, the revenue growth was accompanied by a sharper increase in expenses. Bakingo’s net loss rose to Rs 36.9 crore in FY26, more than twice the Rs 16.5 crore reported in the previous fiscal year. Its total expenditure increased 38.7% to Rs 450.5 crore from Rs 324.7 crore in FY25.

Raw material procurement remained Bakingo’s largest expense, accounting for a significant share of its overall spending. The cost increased 40% year-on-year to Rs 194.45 crore in FY26, compared with Rs 138.7 crore in FY25.

Advertising expenditure also rose 35% to Rs 75.4 crore, indicating the scale of investment the company is making to build brand visibility and acquire customers. Meanwhile, commission and platform fees increased over 39% to Rs 53 crore.

Founded in 2016 by Himanshu Chawla, Shrey Sehgal and Suman Patra, Bakingo operates an online bakery business offering cakes and desserts, including cheesecakes, gourmet cakes and jar cakes. The company has expanded its presence to more than 30 cities through a network of over 100 kitchens, with a catalogue of more than 100 products.

Sales of bakery products remained its sole source of operating revenue in FY26. The company also earned Rs 7.3 crore through interest on investments and fixed deposits, taking its total income to Rs 413.65 crore for the year.

The company has also been extending its presence beyond its online-first model. In January 2026, Bakingo opened its first physical retail outlet at Indirapuram Habitat Centre in Ghaziabad, marking its entry into offline retail alongside its delivery-led business.
