Cüraa, the kitchen and lifestyle brand founded by Chef Sanjyot Keer and Neeraj Kumawat, has raised INR 40 crore in a Series A funding round led by 3one4 Capital. Existing investors Kae Capital, Lumikai and Better Capital also participated in the round.
Investment banker ValueBridge Capital, a Merisis Company, advised Cüraa on the transaction.
The company plans to use the fresh capital to expand its product portfolio across pre-cook and cooking categories, build out its warehousing and supply chain capabilities, strengthen its presence across D2C, marketplaces and quick commerce, and expand its senior leadership team.
The funding comes as kitchen product preferences in India continue to evolve, with consumers increasingly looking for products that offer durability, functionality and design while being suited to everyday Indian cooking. Cüraa is positioning itself around this gap, developing kitchen products based on consumer behaviour and practical cooking needs.
Since launching in September 2024, Cüraa has served more than 3 lakh households and increased its monthly net revenue 25 times. The brand reports an average product rating of more than 4.5 and an NPS above 70. Its growth has been supported by product demonstrations, content led discovery and consumer feedback.
Cüraa was founded by Chef Sanjyot Keer, who built Your Food Lab into a large digital cooking community, and entrepreneur Neeraj Kumawat. The founders are combining culinary expertise with operational capabilities to develop products across different stages of the cooking journey.
The company also sees its growth as part of a wider trend in India’s creator economy, where creators with established expertise and consumer trust are expanding into consumer brands. Chef Sanjyot brings more than a decade of experience in the digital food space, while Kumawat is focused on building the business infrastructure needed for scale.
Raj Shamani serves as a strategic advisor to Cüraa, supporting the brand with consumer reach, brand building and strategic inputs.
Commenting on the fundraise, Sanjyot Keer, Co-founder, Cüraa, said, “For the last decade, I have had the opportunity to understand how millions of Indians cook, the challenges they face in their kitchens and the products they wish existed. Cüraa is a natural extension of that journey. We are building products that solve real cooking problems while bringing together performance, thoughtful design and everyday usability. This investment allows us to accelerate that vision and help more Indian households cook better.”
Neeraj Kumawat, Co-founder and CEO, Cüraa, added, “We are building Cüraa for the long term. This capital allows us to strengthen every part of the business, from product development and supply chain to customer experience and distribution. Our focus remains on building a modern Indian consumer brand that delivers exceptional products consistently, at scale.”
Commenting on the investment, Anand Batra, Investments Team, 3one4 Capital, said, “Cüraa combines trusted culinary demand with the operating discipline required to scale a consumer appliances business. Sanjyot has earned deep trust with Indian home cooks, while Neeraj brings the systems orientation needed across product, supply chain and channels. We are excited to partner with the team as they build a mass-premium kitchen brand designed for Indian homes.”
Adding on, Salone Sehgal, Founder and Managing Partner, Lumikai, commented, “When we invested in Cüraa, it was based on a simple belief: India’s new-age digital consumer would gravitate towards products their creators stand behind. India has millions of creators with audiences. Very few have communities. Fewer still can turn a community into a business people trust.”
She further added, “We read consumer behaviour through a framework we call DOSE – dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin, endorphins. Most creator-led businesses monetise dopamine: the scroll or the impulse. Cüraa has built a winning product on oxytocin i.e. trust, and respect for the consumer. Attention is abundant in India. Trust is the scarce asset. Curaa is what happens when the most trusted creator in a massive category, their community, and commerce come together.”
Sunitha Viswanathan, Partner, Kae Capital, said,”Cüraa is building for a consumer and a category that have both evolved. The modern Indian kitchen needs products that combine performance, thoughtful design and an understanding of how people actually cook. We’ve seen the team build strong consumer trust and pair it with disciplined execution. That conviction has only grown, and we’re excited to double down for the next phase of Cüraa’s journey.”
