HCL Group Partners With SRFI To Host Multi-Nation PSA Challenger Tour In Mumbai

The HCL SRFI PSA Challenger Tour Mumbai concluded with Malaysia's Mohammad Syafiq Kamal and India's Tanvi Khanna winning the men's and women's titles. The PSA Challenger event featured 48 squash players from 15 countries competing at Juhu Gymkhana Club.

HCL Group Partners With SRFI To Host Multi-Nation PSA Challenger Tour In Mumbai

HCL Group, in partnership with the Squash Rackets Federation of India (SRFI), concluded the HCL SRFI PSA Challenger Tour Mumbai at Juhu Gymkhana Club. The tournament was held from 29 June to 3 July and featured 48 professional players from 15 countries.

The five-day event included men’s and women’s PSA Challenger competitions, each with a prize purse of USD 15,000. The matches drew strong participation and gave Indian players the opportunity to compete against international opponents on home soil.

In the men’s final, Mohammad Syafiq Kamal of Malaysia defeated Egypt’s Yassin Shohdy in a five-game contest, winning 6-11, 9-11, 11-8, 14-12, 11-8. In the women’s final, India’s Tanvi Khanna overcame Egypt’s Farida Walid in another closely fought match, winning 8-11, 2-11, 12-10, 11-9, 11-7.

The winners were felicitated at the prize distribution ceremony at Juhu Gymkhana Club.

The Mumbai leg is part of the HCL Squash Tour, a multi-city PSA Challenger Tour certified by the Professional Squash Association. The series aims to strengthen India’s squash ecosystem by giving emerging players exposure to high-level competition and helping them gain experience on the international circuit.
