Safed Detergent’s Durga Puja film follows a mother who gifts a kurta to a young tea server, highlighting how a small act of kindness can make festive celebrations more inclusive.
Festive shopping often revolves around buying new clothes for family members.
Safed Detergent’s latest Durga Puja film takes this familiar ritual in a different direction, focusing on a mother who extends the joy of festive shopping to a child outside her family.
The film follows a mother shopping for her son when she notices a young boy serving tea at the store. She decides to gift him a kurta, allowing him to be part of the festive celebrations too. The gesture forms the central moment of the film, which explores how a small act of generosity can make a difference to someone else’s celebration.
The film is built around the brand’s message, ‘Kuch Daag Hatate Hai, Kuch Bhed Mitate Hai. Iss Tyohar Chalo Milkar Khushiyan Phelate Hai.’ It draws a parallel between removing stains and breaking social barriers, using the everyday act of doing laundry as a starting point for a broader message about equality and kindness.
The mother’s decision also brings the idea of inclusion into the familiar setting of a festive shopping trip. Rather than limiting her attention to her own child, she extends the same consideration to another boy, making the exchange about more than the gift itself.
For Safed Detergent, the film connects this act of kindness with its portrayal of motherhood. It presents a mother’s care as something that can extend beyond her immediate family, with the kurta becoming a symbol of treating children with equal warmth and consideration.
Through the campaign, Safed Detergent brings the focus back to sharing festive happiness with others. Its central message is that celebrations can become more meaningful when small gestures help people feel included, regardless of their circumstances.
Commenting on the campaign, Ritum Jain, Director, Shantinath Detergents, said ”At Safed, we believe that an unbiased mother is the truest reflection of our core values. She has the purest heart, one that looks beyond daag and bhed, and sees every child with the same love, care and compassion. For a mother, kindness does not stop at her own family.”
He further added, “Through this film, we wanted to celebrate this beautiful spirit of motherhood and remind everyone that the true joy of festivals lies in looking beyond differences and spreading happiness together.”
