Raksha Bandhan is usually about love, gifts, and sweet messages. Swiggy decided to add a little sibling roasting to the mix.
Ahead of Raksha Bandhan, the food delivery brand turned an oversized orange dumpster near Lucknow’s historic Clock Tower into an unexpected OOH ad, featuring the cheeky line, ‘Kooda se uthaye sibling ko aaj treat dedo.’
The idea takes one of the oldest sibling taunts and quite literally puts it on a dumpster. Because apparently, if you are going to tell your sibling they were picked up from the garbage, Swiggy wants to make sure you treat them first.

Created by Masala Marketing Agency, the execution uses the dumpster itself as part of the joke. Instead of placing the message on a conventional billboard, Swiggy made the medium do some of the storytelling, turning an everyday object into the punchline.
The campaign also skips the usual sentimental Rakhi route. Rather than focusing on emotional sibling bonds, it leans into the teasing, roasting and chaos that often define the relationship.
And that is what makes the execution work. The visual gets attention, the copy lands instantly and the festive context makes the joke feel timely.
