Swiggy has introduced two dedicated channels for customers to report food safety concerns linked to their orders. The food delivery platform has launched a 24×7 helpline at 7948231850 and added a dedicated Food Safety section within its in-app Help menu.
Customers can use the in-app channel to describe an issue, upload photographs, and receive a ticket number to track their complaint. Those who report concerns through the helpline will receive a link on their registered mobile number to submit additional details and images.
Complaints submitted through either channel will be reviewed by Swiggy’s Food Safety Assurance Team, which will assess the reported issue and take appropriate action.
Beyond handling individual complaints, the new reporting channels will allow Swiggy to identify recurring food safety issues and patterns across orders. The information can be used to engage restaurant partners and introduce preventive measures where repeated concerns are identified.
The company also works with restaurant partners on ingredient quality, menu accuracy, and hygiene practices. Swiggy periodically provides guidance to its restaurant network on food safety and hygiene standards.
Sharing his view on the initiative, Sidharth Bhakoo, Chief Business Officer, Swiggy Food Marketplace said, “While we continue to work closely with our restaurant partners on food safety, we are also further strengthening the ways in which customers can raise any concerns they may have.”
He further added, “Customer feedback has always been an important part of how we work, and these additional touch points will further help us in identifying and addressing any gaps, wherever they may arise.”
