Aman Gupta, entrepreneur and investor, has invested in FIG Living, a design-led lighting and living brand founded by Sushant Sharma, through SailThru Ventures.
The investment brings Gupta and Sharma together again, years after Sharma worked with him at boAt. Sharma is now building FIG Living as an independent entrepreneur.
Founded in 2025, FIG Living began with modern, colourful and functional lighting, including table lamps, portable lamps, pendant lights, wall lights and floor lamps. It has since expanded into side tables, accent furniture and tabletop objects as it works towards becoming a broader home and lifestyle brand.
FIG Living currently operates at an ARR of around Rs 12 crore and is targeting Rs 18 crore after the upcoming festive season. The brand has crossed 40,000 consumers and is growing at around 20% quarter-on-quarter.
FIG Living develops its products in-house and has secured more than 36 design patents. Its products are manufactured in India through an affiliated facility in Greater Noida, giving the company greater control over product development, quality and supply.
Nearly 80% of its portfolio follows knock-down or DIY formats, allowing consumers to assemble products themselves while making bulky home products easier and more efficient to ship.
The brand has also built a community of homeowners, architects, interior designers, creators and tastemakers, with personalities including Masaba Gupta, Ankush Bahuguna, Kiran Rao, Shweta Tripathi and Tanmay Bhat among its consumers.
With the investment, FIG Living plans to expand its distribution network, build more physical consumer touchpoints and create experiential initiatives around its products. It also plans to explore global design partnerships and collaborations to bring new influences into its product pipeline.
The company is entering a growing home décor and lighting market, driven by urbanisation, premiumisation, e-commerce adoption and rising interest in design-led living spaces. Its larger ambition is to build FIG Living into a wider home and lifestyle platform while retaining its focus on design, functionality and accessibility.
Aman Gupta, Entrepreneur and Investor, said, “I have seen Sushant up close – his understanding of brands, consumers and what it takes to build something from scratch. What stood out to me about FIG is that it isn’t simply selling lighting; it is building a point of view around how a new generation of Indians wants to experience and express their homes.”
He further added, “The combination of design, product innovation, manufacturing capability, and Sushant’s brand-building instinct makes FIG a very interesting business to be part of. For me, there is also something special about seeing someone who worked with me to take the entrepreneurial leap and build his own vision.”
Sushant Sharma, Founder, FIG Living, said, “FIG was born from a simple belief – great design should not be a privilege. We want to bring original, thoughtful, and functional design to more Indian homes at accessible price points. Aman sir has been an important part of my professional journey and having him come on board as an investor makes this moment particularly meaningful. He understands what it takes to build a consumer brand and has seen my journey from the inside. His experience, network and understanding of the Indian consumer ecosystem will be valuable as we enter our next phase of growth.”
“The broader ambition is to evolve FIG from a lighting company into a comprehensive home & living platform, with lighting remaining the core design language while adjacent categories create a more complete ecosystem for contemporary homes.” He added.
