VIDA & KKR Team Up For ‘6 for 6’ Campaign To Boost EV Infrastructure

VIDA, powered by Hero MotoCorp, has partnered with Kolkata Knight Riders to launch the ‘6 for 6’ campaign. Timed with the 2026 T20 season, where cricket captures national attention, the campaign introduces a simple yet powerful idea: for every six struck by KKR, VIDA will install a 6kW fast charger, expanding the country’s EV charging network in real time.

Rooted in VIDA’s mission to democratise electric mobility, the campaign aims to bridge a crucial gap in EV adoption, accessible and widespread charging infrastructure. With over 5,300 fast-charging points already operational across 430 cities, VIDA is positioning itself at the forefront of India’s growing EV ecosystem.

The initiative not only amplifies the thrill of every boundary but also links it directly to measurable impact, converting fan moments into long-term infrastructure gains.

As part of the campaign rollout, VIDA has introduced co-branded fast-charging stations in KKR’s signature colours at key locations, including a newly unveiled installation featuring team players symbolising the intersection of sport, sustainability, and future mobility.

Beyond visibility, the technology backing the initiative is equally significant. VIDA’s fast chargers can power electric scooters from 0 to 80 percent in just one hour, ensuring minimal downtime for users. The network also extends along major highway corridors, making long-distance EV travel increasingly viable.

Complementing this is VIDA’s removable battery technology, allowing users to charge their scooters via standard 5A household plug points, adding a layer of convenience for everyday riders.

Commenting on the initiative, Kausalya Nandakumar, Chief Business Officer, Emerging Mobility Business Unit, Hero MotoCorp, said, “Cricket has an incredible ability to unite and inspire millions across the country. With the ‘6 for 6’ campaign, we are turning every big hit on the field into a step towards a cleaner and a more accessible mobility future.”

“With our growing network of fast chargers and our innovative removable battery technology, VIDA is committed to building an ecosystem that accelerates the adoption of electric mobility across the country, enabling more people to experience the thrill of new-age mobility.” he, added.

Echoing this sentiment, Venky Mysore, CEO, Kolkata Knight Riders, added, “The ‘6 for 6’ campaign exemplifies the potential of sport as a platform for meaningful, real-world impact. At KKR, we are committed to ensuring that our on-field moments carry significance beyond the cricket field as well. By linking every six to the expansion of EV charging infrastructure, this partnership with VIDA transforms fan excitement into tangible progress and reflects our shared commitment to innovation and sustainability for the future.”
