Sanjay Chaturvedi has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Matrix Pharmacorp, where he will lead the company’s strategic growth, operational expansion and innovation initiatives across its pharmaceutical business. The appointment was announced through LinkedIn posts via Matrix Pharmacorp.
Chaturvedi brings more than three decades of experience in the pharmaceutical and chemicals industries. Prior to joining Matrix Pharmacorp in May 2026, he served as Chief Executive Officer at Apitoria Pharma from April 2023 to May 2026, where he led the active pharmaceutical ingredient business with responsibility for global operations and sales across multiple international markets.
Before that, he was Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer at IOL Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals from January 2021 to April 2023. Earlier, he worked at Praj Industries as President from 2015 to 2018 and at Aurobindo Pharma as Senior Vice President from December 2013 to November 2015, leading global sales, marketing and business development operations.
He also served as Vice President and Global Head of Sales and Marketing at Dr Reddy’s Laboratories from April 2010 to December 2012 and as General Manager Strategic Planning and Marketing at Dow Advanced Materials from April 2009 to April 2010.
Earlier in his career, Chaturvedi spent over a decade at Rohm and Haas across multiple leadership and research roles between 1998 and 2009. He also worked at Brookhaven National Laboratory as Postdoctoral Research Associate from August 1996 to June 1998, at Stony Brook University as Research Assistant from 1992 to 1996 and at Indian Institute of Science as Research Assistant in 1991.
