Vodafone Idea has announced a senior leadership change in its enterprise business division, with the company appointing M.P. Sunil Kumar as Chief Enterprise Business Officer (CEBO) effective 18 May 2026. The appointment comes after Arvind Nevatia submitted his resignation to pursue external opportunities.
The company informed stock exchanges that Nevatia will be relieved from his responsibilities on or before 28 July 2026. In his resignation communication, he stated that he was stepping down after nearly 11 years with the organisation to explore opportunities outside the company.
According to the regulatory filing, the Board of Directors approved the appointment of Sunil Kumar based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. The company classified the role as part of its senior management personnel structure.
Sunil Kumar brings close to three decades of experience in the telecom and institutional business sector. Vodafone Idea stated that he has spent 15 years within the company across different leadership positions, including heading carrier and wholesale business operations and serving as Cluster Business Head in the consumer business segment.
Before rejoining Vodafone Idea in the new role, Kumar was serving as Chief Growth Officer at Tanla Platforms. He had also worked as CEO of Constl, a Space World Group company. His previous experience includes roles at Tata Communications, Bharti Infotel, GTL and Sprint RPG India.
Vodafone Idea submitted the update to both the National Stock Exchange and BSE through an official filing dated 16 May 2026.
