Truecaller has expanded its enterprise offering with the launch of Post-Call Actions, a new capability designed to help consumers complete tasks immediately after a verified business call.
The feature is initially rolling out for last-mile delivery companies, with use cases for banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) expected to follow. Through Post-Call Actions, Truecaller aims to remove the friction that often follows a business call, when customers are asked to wait for a callback, search for a link or navigate another app to complete a request.
Post-Call Actions appear immediately after a Verified Business Call ends. A branded action card automatically appears within Truecaller, giving consumers access to the relevant next step with a single tap.
The company said the feature is designed to eliminate the need for consumers to download another app, search through messages for a link or wait in an IVR queue after speaking to a business.
For delivery services, the feature addresses common situations such as missed calls, unavailable delivery slots and repeated requests for delivery instructions. Consumers can use the post-call action to reschedule a delivery, confirm availability, share their precise location or authorise a safe drop directly through Truecaller.
The feature is particularly aimed at moments where a customer may not have been able to answer a delivery call but still needs to complete the task quickly.
Truecaller plans to extend Post-Call Actions to banking, financial services and insurance, where the company sees a different challenge: trust.
Calls claiming to be from banks or financial institutions can be difficult for consumers to verify, particularly amid concerns around impersonation and fraud. Since Post-Call Actions are triggered only after Verified Business Calls, Truecaller said customers can complete subsequent actions from the same trusted interface.
Potential use cases include paying dues, requesting a callback, completing a pending KYC step and confirming a transaction.
This creates a direct link between business identification and action, rather than requiring customers to independently locate a website, application or payment link after a call.
For businesses, Truecaller believes the feature could also change how the success of customer calls is measured.
“A phone call has been the most human way for a business to communicate with customers. But it usually ends with homework for them,” said Priyam Bose, Global Head, GTM, Truecaller for Business. “Post-Call Actions resolve this. The delivery gets rescheduled, the bill gets paid, the KYC gets done, all in the same trusted moment, on the same screen, irrespective of the calls getting picked up or unanswered.”
