Adani Group and Jabil have announced plans to form a strategic alliance to establish an AI and data center infrastructure manufacturing platform in India.
The proposed partnership would combine Jabil’s engineering and manufacturing capabilities with Adani Group’s infrastructure, logistics, renewable energy assets, and expanding data center business. The companies aim to manufacture AI data center hardware for both domestic and international markets.
Under the plan, the platform is expected to manufacture high density AI racks, servers, storage systems, and networking equipment. The companies also intend to produce supporting infrastructure components such as Power Distribution Units, Coolant Distribution Units, transformers, switchgears, busbars, and thermal management systems.
According to the companies, the initiative is intended to address growing demand for AI ready data center infrastructure as investments in artificial intelligence and cloud computing continue to rise globally. The partners are currently working on operational frameworks and final documentation for the project.
India’s data center market is expected to expand significantly over the next decade, driven by AI adoption, cloud growth, and data localization requirements. Industry estimates suggest the country’s data center capacity could reach between 5 GW and 8 GW by 2030. At the same time, major technology companies have announced investments in data centers, cloud services, and AI infrastructure in India.
The proposed alliance also aligns with Adani Group’s broader plans to develop green energy powered data centers. Jabil, which reported revenue of USD 29.8 billion in fiscal 2025, has expanded its data center infrastructure capabilities through recent acquisitions and investments focused on power management and thermal technologies.
If finalized, the manufacturing platform could contribute to India’s efforts to increase domestic production of digital infrastructure equipment and strengthen its role in global technology supply chains.
Gautam Adani, Chairman, Adani Group, noted, “The world is entering an Intelligence Revolution more profound than any previous Industrial Revolution. Nations that master the symmetry between energy and compute will shape the next decade. India is uniquely positioned to lead.”
He further added, “Our alliance with Jabil represents a decisive step in building India’s complete AI infrastructure stack from green power generation to world-class hardware manufacturing. Together, we will ensure India is not merely a consumer in the AI age, but a creator, builder, and exporter of intelligence.”
Mike Dastoor, CEO, Jabil, stated, “This strategic collaboration with Adani Group is another step forward in our efforts to create long-term value for customers throughout the AI ecosystem by offering scalable solutions across the product lifecycle. By combining Jabil’s more than sixty years of engineering expertise and advanced manufacturing capabilities with Adani’s formidable infrastructure and energy platform, we can expect to execute down to the rack level for hyperscalers and enterprises here in India and across the globe.”
He further added, “As India becomes one of the world’s fastest-growing AI markets, the country’s skilled workforce and supportive business environment make it an attractive destination for this collaboration.”
