An unusual set of billboards has appeared across Lucknow and Gorakhpur, drawing attention for their simplicity. Featuring a bright red background with the words “Acche Din Aane Wale Hain!” in bold white text, the hoardings carry no product images, campaign details, or explanatory copy.
The minimalist outdoor displays have prompted curiosity among commuters and social media users, with many sharing photos and speculating about their purpose. The phrase, familiar to many, has led to questions about whether the billboards are linked to a new product launch, a marketing campaign, or another announcement.
The teaser campaign is part of an outdoor activation by Haldiram’s, though the billboards themselves reveal little beyond the message. By limiting the creative to a single line of text against the brand’s signature red background, the campaign relies on public curiosity and discussion rather than conventional advertising elements.
At a time when outdoor advertising often features detailed visuals and product-focused messaging, the sparse design stands out by offering very little information, encouraging viewers to interpret and discuss it before the campaign’s next phase is revealed.
Speaking about the campaign, Rajiv Singh, Head of Growth and Marketing at Haldiram’s QSR chain, said, “Great campaigns are not always the answers, but sometimes strong questions which lead consumers to think. Coinciding with the national manifesto, this activation aims at encouraging people to engage with the strong message in their own way. We are delighted to see the conversations that have already sparked and look forward to sharing more in the coming times.”
