Snabbit has appointed Madhavi Kochar as Vice President – Communications, strengthening its communications leadership as the quick home services platform expands its operations across Indian cities. Kochar joins Snabbit after an 11-year career at Amazon, where she most recently served as Head – IN Stores Communications.
In her new role, Kochar will oversee external and internal communications, including corporate reputation, stakeholder engagement and employee communications. Her mandate will also involve shaping Snabbit’s corporate and business narrative as the company continues to scale.
Kochar brings around two decades of experience in communications to the role. During her tenure at Amazon, she held senior communications positions, including Head – India Corporate Communications, before moving into her most recent role leading communications for Amazon India Stores.
Announcing her move on LinkedIn, Kochar wrote: “I started my career as a young mother, leaving my daughter with family so I could study. It was hard, but I never once thought of quitting. And that is why this next chapter means so much to me. I have joined Snabbit as VP Communications.”
At Snabbit, her role will span both the company’s external narrative and its internal communications, with the focus on connecting the company’s business priorities with customers, Experts, employees and other stakeholders.
The appointment also follows other senior additions to Snabbit’s team as the company builds out its leadership and operational capabilities. In August, the company appointed Pradeep Yadav as Head of Operations, while Tanu Gupta joined the organisation as Manager – Public Relations and Communications.
With Kochar now leading communications, Snabbit adds an experienced corporate communications leader at a stage when the company is expanding both its operational footprint and its presence in the emerging quick home services category.
