Sadev Ventures has appointed Ishan Kansal as cofounder and managing partner as the early stage investment firm looks to strengthen its leadership team and expand its presence in India’s startup ecosystem. Kansal is expected to join the firm in early June 2026 and will operate from Bengaluru, where Sadev Ventures is also planning to establish its second India office.
Kansal joins the venture capital firm after serving as Senior Vice President and Head of Product at Snabbit, where he led the company’s product, design and data functions. At Snabbit, he worked on building what the company described as India’s first quick service marketplace for on demand home services focused on speed, trust and convenience for urban households.
Before Snabbit, Kansal spent nearly six years at CRED in senior product and business leadership roles. During his tenure, he worked across multiple verticals including payments, insurance, lending, deposits, monetisation and growth initiatives as part of the company’s expansion strategy.
His previous experience also includes serving as Head of Global Product and Strategy at Roadzen, where he worked on product and strategy functions across international markets. Earlier in his career, Kansal held leadership roles at Paytm, overseeing business and product operations related to Payments Bank, wealth management and M&A fund initiatives.
Kansal additionally founded Klaymore Consultants in 2015, where he briefly served as Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer before moving into larger fintech and technology leadership roles.
The appointment comes as Sadev Ventures prepares to scale its investment operations further. According to reports, the firm is targeting Rs 1,000 crore in assets under management over the next 18 to 24 months and is planning to launch its second equity fund while also expanding into the venture debt segment.
The firm currently focuses on seed to pre Series A investments and has backed startups across sectors including fintech, healthcare, SaaS and consumer technology. Its portfolio includes companies such as Asaya, Atomgrid, Bidso, Gladful, Prosperr and Vama.
Commenting on the appointment through LinkedIn, Sadev Ventures founder Dhruv Dhanraj Bahl described Kansal as a long time trusted collaborator and said his operational experience would help strengthen the firm’s founder support capabilities beyond capital deployment.
