Enterprise tech startup TraqCheck has raised $8 million in a Series A funding round led by IvyCap Ventures, with participation from IIFL, as it looks to expand its presence and strengthen its AI led recruitment solutions, with plans to use the capital to accelerate expansion in the European market and increase adoption of its background verification agent Trace among enterprise clients.
A portion of the capital will be allocated to scaling its recently launched AI agent Nina, which is designed for real time conversational candidate sourcing. The platform is positioning itself beyond background checks by building AI agent infrastructure for talent acquisition workflows.
Founded in 2020 by Jaibir Nihal Singh, Armaan Mehta and Rishabh Jain, TraqCheck offers AI driven background screening services, including criminal checks, education verification and identity validation, while also building AI agents that can source candidates in real time, initiate conversations and connect shortlisted profiles directly with hiring managers, reducing manual intervention in recruitment processes.
TraqCheck currently serves over 300 enterprise customers across India and Europe. Its client base includes Bajaj Capital, Cholamandalam Finance, Reliance Retail, Samvardhana Motherson, Yatra and Grant Thornton.
The startup had previously raised an undisclosed amount in its pre Series A round, co-led by Caret Capital and Alok Oberoi of Everstone Capital, at a valuation of $14 million. It also counts Lenskart cofounder Peyush Bansal among its investors.
The funding comes amid growing investor interest in AI driven enterprise solutions, particularly in recruitment, where automation and AI agents are increasingly being adopted to improve efficiency. Earlier, TurboHire raised $6 million in a Series A round led by IvyCap Ventures, focusing on automating hiring processes using agentic AI.
