Experiential travel platform WanderOn has rolled out its ‘Safe Summer with WanderOn’ campaign, encouraging Indian travellers to explore safer alternatives across Southeast Asia and domestic destinations amid rising geopolitical tensions impacting key Middle East travel routes.
The campaign comes at a time when uncertainty around certain international corridors has begun influencing travel decisions. In response, WanderOn is positioning itself as a solution-driven platform, helping travellers reroute their plans towards destinations that offer a mix of safety, accessibility, and rich cultural experiences.
According to WanderOn’s internal data, travel preferences have seen a noticeable shift in recent weeks. Nearly 65% of travellers are now actively considering domestic destinations as alternatives, with locations like Ladakh, Meghalaya, and Rishikesh gaining traction. Hill destinations across Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are also witnessing increased interest.
Additionally, 23% of millennial travellers are leaning towards spiritual tourism, particularly in destinations like Rishikesh, reflecting a growing demand for mindful and experience-led travel.
To support this shift, the company has launched a dedicated landing page aimed at capturing real-time travel intent and helping users discover curated summer options.
While domestic travel is on the rise, international demand remains strong for relatively stable and popular Southeast Asian destinations. Locations such as Bali, Phuket, Krabi, Langkawi, and Malé are witnessing growing interest among Indian travellers seeking beach vacations.
