Blue Dart Express has announced that Prakash Apte will step down as Chairman and Independent Director from April 13, 2026, with the company confirming there are no material reasons beyond those stated in his resignation letter.
In a regulatory filling, the resignation has been tendered due to health reasons. Apte communicated his decision through a letter dated April 12, 2026, stating that he has been unwell and will be focusing on his recovery and overall wellbeing.
Following his resignation, he will cease to be associated with several board committees. This includes his roles as Chairman and Member of the Audit Committee, and as a member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, Risk Management Committee, Corporate Social Responsibility Committee and Stakeholders Relationship Committee.
In addition to his role at Blue Dart, Apte currently holds directorship positions in other listed companies. He serves as an Independent Director at Fine Organics Industries and as an Independent Director and Chairman at GMM Pfaudler. He is also part of multiple committees across these companies, including risk management, audit, CSR and stakeholder committees.
