Shilpa Shetty Invests In ‘Rosada’, Backing India’s Premium Kids Lifestyle Market

Rosada has secured an investment from actor and entrepreneur Shilpa Shetty Kundra, marking a new phase of growth for the direct to consumer brand. While the financial details of the deal remain undisclosed, the company said the capital will be used to strengthen operations, expand its product portfolio, and support its next stage of expansion.

Founded in 2014 by Shalu Agarwal and Bhupesh Agarwal, Rosada focuses on premium products for babies and children, including backpacks, bedding, travel essentials, nursery décor, and personalized accessories. The brand has built its business around design led offerings targeted at parents seeking higher quality and customized products for young children.

Expansion Plans Following Investment 

The investment comes as Rosada looks to scale its presence across both online and offline channels. The company currently generates most of its sales through its own website while also selling through major ecommerce marketplaces. In addition, the brand has established an offline presence through retail partnerships in several Indian cities.

As part of its growth plans, Rosada intends to expand its physical footprint with new exclusive stores and a larger showroom presence. The company is also expected to invest in strengthening its team and improving customer experience as demand for premium children’s products continues to grow.

Strategic Role Of Celebrity Investors 

For Rosada, bringing in Shilpa Shetty as an investor adds more than capital. The company views the partnership as an opportunity to increase brand visibility and accelerate its reach among young families across the country.

Shetty said the brand’s focus on quality, functionality, and thoughtful design aligned with her interest in businesses that cater to modern parenting needs. The investment also reflects growing interest from celebrities in consumer brands that serve specialized and fast growing market segments.

Growing Demand For Premium Kids Brands

Rosada’s latest funding comes at a time when India’s kids and baby products market is witnessing increased consumer spending, particularly in premium categories. Parents are increasingly looking for products that combine safety, aesthetics, and personalization, creating opportunities for niche brands to differentiate themselves from mass market players.

The company had earlier gained attention through its appearance on the TV show Shark Tank India, where it secured investment commitments from entrepreneurs Aman Gupta, Namita Thapar, and Ritesh Agarwal. With another high-profile investor joining its cap table, Rosada is positioning itself to capture a larger share of India’s expanding premium kids lifestyle market.
