redBus has launched ‘redStar’, a nationwide creator-discovery contest aimed at finding emerging storytellers who could feature in the company’s original microdrama series.
Launched on October 1, 2026, the initiative will select five creators to appear in a microdrama produced in collaboration with RVCJ. Winners will also have a chance to receive Ray-Ban Meta glasses and other prizes.
The contest is open to aspiring creators across India, including students and young storytellers who may not have an established online presence. Participants do not need a large following to enter, as submissions will be evaluated on creativity, storytelling and content quality rather than likes, reach or follower count.
Interested participants can register through the redStar microsite. Entries are welcome in multiple languages, including English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi and Bengali, among others. The initiative will also reach out to college campuses to encourage participation from young creators.
The five selected winners will become the first redStar creators and feature in a redBus-owned microdrama series developed with RVCJ. The initiative could also open up opportunities for them to work with the bus ticketing platform on future projects.
Commenting on the initiative, Pallavi Chopra, Chief Marketing Officer, redBus, said, “Travel inspiration increasingly comes from the stories and perspectives that people encounter within their social platforms. Creators have an important role in making destinations and experiences more relatable, while helping audiences imagine journeys through an authentic lens.”
She further added, “With redStar, we want to move beyond individual campaigns and build a sustained ecosystem that discovers emerging talent, gives creators access to meaningful opportunities and brings diverse travel stories from across India to wider audiences.”
